Does GH5 support edrums better? Cymbal detection, velocity info etc? |
These kind of discussions are an interesting insight... I went for GH because RB2 wasn't out in the UK and even though a lot of people slated it GH:WT, I loved it.
But it was the first game of this type I had ever played so I had nothing to comapre it too.. As soon as RB2 came out I bought it straight away, but I just can't get into it.. At first I thought I had tired of the format.. But as soon as I put GH:WT in I love it again..
There is just something about RB2 that I don't like.. For the record, I am not saying that its bad.. I am saying that for me, I prefer everything about GH... But its interesting how some people are the other way around.. I wouldn't expect this kind of disparity when games are almost identical.
For me the only thing I don't like in both games is the difficulty.. I want the abillty to change the number of buttons AND difficulty independently.. I know I am not alone with this, but I find Normal a bit too easy. But difficult way too hard (mainly because of the extra button).. A lot of people say practice.. But I am almost 40 and feel it.. And I just want to enjoy my games.. I dont' want to have to spend hours practicing.. What I REALLY want is for them to include a Normal+ mode (Or difficult-) mode which has the same number of notes as Difficult, but only 4 buttons.
But a better idea than this would be an option to say:
Number of Buttons: 3, 4 or 5
Number of Notes: Easy/Normal/Difficult/Expert
This would be great, as it would also be possible to play Expert mode, but with only 3 buttons.. If I am honest, this seems a logical, if not obvious idea, but no-one else seems to agree!
