DRM on Downloaded Songs?

DRM on Downloaded Songs?

Hi all,

I've bought a few songs from the SingStore and am in the process of replacing my PS3 with a slim.

Is it like the 360, in that the songs will work if I'm connected as the same PSN user, or am I out of luck for using the songs ever again?

Any DRM tool to copy these over to the new hardware?

They can not be transferred over, but you can contact sony and they can provide a means to get them again.

I've had the same problem, I just called Sony careline on 01923 476426 (08705 998877).

The operator took my details and created a 'request' to Sony HO, so the content can be 'reset'.

He said I should receive an email with the next 5 to 7 days, informing me that I can re-download the songs.

Did they give you any hassle at all? Did you say thatyou'd upgraded?

No not at all, the bloke on the Careline, was really good, nothing, but, praise for him. I told him that I had upgraded and he was of the opinion, you've paid for them, so you should be entitled to them.

Sony, have just emailed me, confirming that I will be able to re-download the Singstar songs.

I am having trouble with sony authorising the singstar songs again, I have spent £40 on the singstore so far and am not happy if they are unable to authorise it again

I just phoned the number above and the guys was extremely helpful. He told me I will get a call back from the support team and be able to start downloading the songs again within 24 hours.

Big thumbs up for Sony customer support if they manage this
