Play Tv External Hard Drive

HI,

I am filling up my internal hard drive with recordings from my Play TV, I have an external Hard drive connected through Ethernet to my Netgear Router ( my PS3 is also connected through Ethernet)

I am looking for a way to move the files onto the external harddrive and play them from there. I have manged to move them to the PS3 home screen, but cannot get them onto the external hard drive form there. It seems i can only copy them to a USB drive.

Is there any way to move them directly? do i need to convert them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Play Tv External Hard Drive

Can they be copied to any NAS drive?
Was going to get a QNAP for this exact purpose (Record from Play TV - and move to NAS - streaming back as required).
I suppose I could Copy to USB pen, and then transfer to NAS if it can't be done directly.

Sorry to hijack your thread Joe

Was kind of related to post
