My 360 has now moved locations and I need to replace it in the lounge. Also I would like a BluRay player. I am thinking that a PS3 will do both and save me some money. Before I buy I am trying to find out the following :
(1) I need to connect to my TC via a component RCA input as Sky uses my only HDMI. It appears that I have to buy an optional extra cable to do this. Am I correct ?
(2) I need the PS3 to stream via Lan from my QNAP NAS server. I believe it can do this from what Ive read so far. Any one know any problems ?
(3) Most of my HD videos on my NAS server is in WMV format which was fine for my Xbox. Will the PS3 play these ?
Thanks for any replies.

Yes you'll need to buy a PS3 component cables
As long as your QNAP is running a DLNA streaming app the Ps3 will be able to access it.
You'll need to check the audio codec on some of the WMV-HD's as i believe the PS3 has issues with WMV-HD that contain AAC or WMA-Pro audio codecs.
