MKV2VOB conversion problem

Hello

I have a little problem with MKV2VOB. I am trying to convert a 13gb MKV to VOB but every time the process is complete the status shows up as 'insufficient disk space'', although my laptop has about 40gb free. The status advises that I need 42gb so I delete another 3gb of files I do not need, try the conversion process again and after conversion is completed the status again shows up that I do not have enough disk space, and now advises that I now need 45gb???

I do not have this problem with any other files I am converting?

Any help would be great

I would have a search around the mkv2vob forum, there are a few postings about disk space issues on there..

Hi

It might be the Temp Coding directory where you are running out of space - If you look at the Configuration Tab, there is a setting for a Temp directory

This may be filling up and causing you to run out of space.

Indeed, although unless you have your HDD partitioned it would be odd if that were the case. I think it defaults to C:\ so if you have partitioned off a "D:\" and left your C: with only a little bit of space, then there's your answer...

I'd expect errors if you were using a Fat32 drive as Temp due to the Fat32 4Gb file restriction.

Have you got a seperate NTFS drive with plenty of free space 60Gb+ you can try?

I have another larger external hard drive but at the moment I can't find the power cable. My smaller 120gb external is powered via USB and is fat32. I do not seem to have any other problems converting, just seems with this particular file, where ever I decide to put it after conversion is complete. As mentioned I have tried puting it on the External drive and also various locations on the Laptop hard drive. On either the Laptop or external drive I have more then 40GB free on each.

PS

I am at work so can't carry out any of the suggestions some of you have made yet.

Thanks for your help
