does PS3 media server stream HD??
could be a stupid question and i did a search on google and didnt find any info i was lookin for ..sorry if its stupid and silly noob questions but its a simple quesiton so please help

lets say i have a movie on my laptop which is HD blu ray format when you watch a HD movie using media server does it stream in HD?? and can it stream MKV. files??
