Playing MKV files with WMP using DivX

Hi,

Has anyone been able to play MKV files on their PS3 using Windows Media Player server and the new DivX player.
I've got Windows 7 with the lastest DivX installed, which should let you play MKV on PS3, but I just get "Unsupported Data" with MKV files.

Can anyone help.

Ditch using WMP and use PS3 Media Server would be my only advice. Read about it in the PS3 Media Guide.

I've been using PS3 Media Server, but since I installed Windows 7 it keeps crashing.

Re: Playing MKV files with WMP using DivX

I think it'll be easier in the long-run if you try and get to the bottom of that rather than try and stream mkv's using WMP...

You're right, I've gone back to an early version of PS3 Media Server (1.10.51), seems to be solid up to now. Watched a whole movie without a 'Blue screen of death'.
