Audio Problem...PS3

Hello, im having trouble with audio on movies with my ps3...
i transfer a movie with my pendrive and the movie plays fine but there is no sound, the only sound that comes up is just background music, no words. The video format are AVI. and other files that are supose to work with the ps3 but nottin! and i just recently put a mpeg-4 and it had the same problem just background music no words... this has been happening ever since i bought my ps3 9 months ago but i though it could just be the the movies fault but got frustraded this time cause it took me 4 days to get this movie and though i ask here... PLEASE help!....please!

forgot to add. that most AVI ect ect files do work and BUT sometimes there is no audio on it just the background sound like music no words ...i check the comments on the movies b4 i "transfer" it onto my computer and there isnt any comments about sound though...

You are hearing background music from the actual film ? That could possibly be that you are hearing 2 channels of a 5.1 soundtrack through your 2 speakers. What is your viewing setup ? Do you have 5.1 audio ?

DAMN IT soo i went to play the movie today..1day after...and i guess it reset it back to how it was before....i dont remember what i did to make it work tho...i have a flat screen tv and noo sound system multi speakers its just the speakers in the flatt screen that im using i messed around with the sound settings audio multi output but i just tried and it didnt seem to work again!! someone please help?
