Hi

I've just bought a new PS3 with Playtv. Everything seems to be working fine except when I'm recording tv there's a bit of freezing/jumping both of live tv and the recording when I play it back. I changed the settings to switch off continuous buffering and background recording and the problem is much less severe but still the occasional little glitch occurs when recording. I haven't got the update for it (running version 1.0) as I haven't got the PS3 connected to the internet yet. Does anyone know if the update will solve the problem or is this likely to be a faulty Playtv?

I know early versions of Play TV jumped and skipped and an update resolved this (it did for me), problem I am not sure what version we are on now. I can only presume 1.0 is out of date.

Any way you can connect to the Web on a temporary basis?

Only other think is to check all your connections, but it seems they are fine if you are getting a picture in the normal view.

Thanks for the reply. I have a wireless router on order so will be able to see if the update helps.
