Is there any way to group mp3s by artist and then album?

If you go to the artist it just lists all the tracks. If you have every album someone has done then you have to flipping scroll through tons just to get to the album you want. It's rubbish. Am I doing something wrong or is this really as good as it gets?

Are you talking about from the internal HDD or streamed?

Using PS3 Media Server my streamed Music library of 10k+ tracks all appears on the PS3 exactly as it does on the PC grouped as Artist name folder\Album folder.

I have my folders sorted by genre, artist then album on my PC. Each of these genre folders are seperately added to the PS3MS configuration (this makes it display better in the XMB and removes an additional and uneccesary folder selection). If I want to search for a particular artist then I simply access the media library feature used in PS3MS.

I have just finished creating and compiling a favourites folder that contains seperate genre playlists of all of my favourite songs by each genre, so far this works pretty well and is handy for shuffling between songs depending on your mood.

Crooksy - I don't get it fella. I don't see how playlists are going to get me any further. Or perhaps I'm being stupid.
