PS3 Play tv issue.

Hi Folks,

I am having a rather annoying issue with Playtv. If I turn my ps3 slim on and go straight to the tv it works fine (although very occasionally there it skips but I know that is a general problem).

If, however, I play a game, quit and go back to the main ps3 menu and then try to load up play tv the loading hangs. If I quit play tv it stops responding and eventually the ps3 restarts. I can then go back to play tv and it works fine.

Do you know any reason why this would happen? Everything is up to date. The play tv is plugged directly into the ps3 usb ports and not through a hub.
It just doesn't work if I try to go to Play tv after using my ps3 for games.

Thanks

Matt

I'd suggest deleting Play TV AND your settings and re-installing Play TV. Then update to the latest version 1.10

If I uninstall and reinstall will I lose my saved programmes? If so how do I go about backing them up

Yes you will - unless you don't delete your save data. You could try that first, but I'd be inclined to transfer them across to the XMB first, unless there's some reason that you REALLY want to keep them within Play TV

Re: PS3 Play tv issue.

Thing is, if you don't know what the issue is, you won't get a truly 'clean' install if you JUST delete Play TV.... even if you do a rescan of the channels.

I was being facetious.
