Need help streaming Blu Ray at 720p

Hi Guys

This is my first post so apploigise if i word it incorrectly

I am relatively new to streaming pc to Ps3 but have been reading up so the simpler you can reply the better

What i need to know is would it possible to play these files in 720???

I may have a few mkv files which i may have converted with mkv2vob but they might be really grainy (square blocks) when playing i assume that this might be becasue when i look at they are resolution 640 x 272

Would i be doing something wrong when converting them.

Sound like it as that's a very very low resolution.

Native 720p is 1280x720 so the PS3/TV is upscaling those a fair bit. Even Standard UKTV is iirc 720x576.

MKV2VOB rarely touches the video (especially on 720p MKV's) it usually just remuxes the sound and changes the container type. I'd look at the source files you have.
