Quick question about the sound...
On downshifts if I make them too early I get a rattling type of noise which is fine, except playing this game with 5.1 on the noise is louder than everything else in any view. It's louder than the exhausts, it's louder than the engine scream it's louder than well... everything!
The game is fantastic (love the handling, great fun!), but I think the sound mix needs looking at slightly, as that damn noise drives me round the bend.

I hasten to add with that solved the game would be superb ! !!

Hi,
The much anticipated patch is in final testing and will be with Sony for approval in the next couple of days. Subject to their testing, it will be available later next week.
Sorry it's taken longer than we would have liked, however we have used the extra time not only to fix known issues but also implement additional features that have been requested by the community: On-line
Numerous fixes to the On-line racing experience
Added option to have races without car to car collision
Added a 30 minute race duration
Collision Penalty system improved
General lag and collision performance improved
Name Tags can be toggled on and off
End of race experience improved A.I.
Defending the inside line has been improved
A.I. will now try to stop a player drafting, within reason
Being too aggressive towards an A.I. racer will result in them being aggressive towards you for a set period of time
A.I. will overtake on the entry to a corner by diving up the inside when appropriate
Difficulty is selectable between Automatic, Beginner, Intermediate and Expert General
Accuracy of the time to car in front and behind indicator, as displayed on the HUD, is improved
Force Feedback strength can be adjusted on all wheels
Scaling issues in the Vinyl Tool fixed
Engine sounds improved
Reduced volume of grind gear sound
Assist cheat fixed Leaderboards
Both Time Trial and Ranking leaderboards fixed
The accuracy figure shown in the Ranking leaderboard is your best Tutorial score Once again, thanks for your pateince...

Good news
My only concern is that after Expert Level you may have wanted to add a 'Bad_Robot Level'
In all seriousness, I hope the online experience will be a positive one as this game deserves a seamless online experience.
Looking forward to seeing some of you guys round Spa

Almost wet myself reading that .
Easy level
Medium level
Hard level
Expert level
Infallible Robot level
Bad Robot Level
Sounds a great patch! I must admit that i've put the game to the back burner a little until the patch comes out. It's not that I don't enjoy it without the patch, just that I want to savour it with the improvements.

Its great to see a company that take notice from the public.
CASFAN is right you should have added a BAD ROBOT level slow his car down by 20mph to keep him happy.

I've been browsing this thread for a couple of weeks, and I thought I'd register to say thanks to System3 and Eutechnyx for a great game
I'd been disappointed with every PS3 racing game so far, and expected to be disappointed with FC as well, but thankfully it's great, and the patch will fix most of the issues i had with it.
I just hope Hard Mode really is hard though, because I'm finding it as easy as Bad Robot with no assists, it's the only thing stopping me enjoying the game fully infact
If the AI can match the pace they show in qualifying in Hard mode, that would be great.
If not, perhaps a Legendary mode?

I hope you have fixed the frame rate issues because they are the biggest problem IMO.
Also, we all know Sony so i would guess next week is maybe a little optimistic on your part, current time frame for Sony Q&A seems to be at least 2 weeks. I'm still playing the game daily and loving it, would like a Tournament mode added and a time frame for the DLC, If i'm right we could be driving an F1 car round Monaco |
