Good 2 player games?

hello. I've got a PS3 (well my son got it for Xmas) and we play alot of footie games together on it PES and FIFA. He has a fair few games now. What I'd like is to get him more 2 player games this Xmas so we can play together. Got any suggestions? I've downloaded a few basketball type demos but they were not too good.

Possibly the wrong forum, might be better in the PS3 games forum, but anyway how old is your son and what other kinds of games do you and him like? Just sports, or racers, shooters etc too?

Lego Star Wars...great game to blast through over xmas

have you tried Little Big Planet? theres a demo on the Store for you to try, this was the first time i ever played it and its great fun

also that Family night in (or something lol) that looks quite promising,quite a selection.

or even maybe guitar hero or rock band, im sure that could be a great father and son game, if you both get hold of an instrument

The original Resistance Fall of Man has a brilliant 2 player split screen co-op mode. Sadly missing from Resistance 2.

Resident Evil 5 has 2 player split screen....only if your son is old enough

I dont really like 2 player games that go split screen, but the campaign in resistance 1 was really good.

well i am guessing you are into sports..so maybe Fight Night round 4? Have a box against each other (obviously in a friendly way lol

)

Also maybe Motorstorm 2 as it has split screen now, and its kind of wacky and mayhem unlike the normal racing car games
