Supermarket policy of opening games and removing disks

aaaargh - how annoyed am I - bought from a major supermarket the other day (2 days ago) Motorstorm Pacific

paid - went to counter had disk put in - yup says Motorstorm on it.

just put it in the PS3 .. Motorstorm 1 !! - thanks - going to take some argument tomorrow morning I can see - its totally their mistake though

how I prove that I haven't swapped the disks I have no idea - but its their mistake

pain in the neck though

Mark.

If they say no mate mate. I'd be there arguing till they said yes.

I recently bought a cd from ASDA and when i got home there was no disc in the box. I thought they would fob me off when i went back the next day but they were fine about it and gave me a disc straight away.

So hopefully you have a similar experience mate.

You can tell them to check if there's an extra disc for Pacific Rift than they have covers on the shelf.

I would do if they sold them and they were cheaper than the competition. If you want a game there and then the supermarkets are often the best option (or I guess you could go to a dedicated games shop and pay more).

Re: Supermarket policy of opening games and removing disks

ok went in first thing - and hats off to Tescos (I can mention the name now as positive outcome) replaced the disk without question - so good one Tescos - glad to see they trust their customers.

cheers, Mark.

Its got nothing to do with them trusting you mate, but everything to do with public relations. The supermarkets exist in an extreemly competitive market and they do EVERYTHING they can to keep the customer happy. That is why I said in my last post that I was sure they would just swap it over for you with no hassle.

I'll try that.

"I bought Batman: AA and when I got home there was a FIFA 98 disc in it for the PS1".

Re: Supermarket policy of opening games and removing disks

None of my local Supermarkets open the boxes.
Must live in a bad town - security is tight!
