[Gunhawk]

Came out yesterday, anyone got it? i did, loved the demo.

Here are my views after one night of playing-

Pro's-
-Some nice cinematic camera shots,
-good graphics
-some great 'staged' moments that will scare the hell out of you.See spoiler if you want- One moment there was a mirror in a small bathroom, you had just cleared the hotel room of freaks, then you notice a mirror above the sink. Huh, havent seen a mirror before, so though id have a look (duke nukem style) and see myself. Just as i was looking i saw a creature thing running up behind me!!!! scared the hell out of me, couldnt turn around quick enough!!! Proper horror movie effect!!
-Freaky , gory, and jumpy moments
-Great sound effects, keep you on the edge of the seat..."what was that? behind me?"
-Story line seems good
-Makes you feel part of a horror movie
- You are a crime scene investigator (kind of) and you have some useful tools- camera, UV light- (shows blood trails!), Beacon detector (Game ref) and Map.
-Crime scene investigating is good fun, you look at the evidence and have to provide answers from a multipule choice menu, get a better score if you 'investigate' it correctly.

Cons
-Controls are a bit jerky
-FPS view is jerky (Your meant to be an alcoholic so that could be why)
-Some sound files must be missing? on the demo theres a window that is smashed at the end of demo as a bloke is killed. In the full game, you get to the same point and theres the same scene, but no Sound effects when the window smashes?!?!!
-Theres a weird (Not SFX) noise- sort of like a crackling noise which you can hear. really annoying, after reading over reviews, it appears lots have been moaning about it. Hope Sega fix this as it ruins the ambiance.
-Not enough ammo for guns so far...want more than 5 shots in my shottie
- You can only carry one weapon...so its either gun or baseball bat .
-Multiplayer is unimpressive so far- only played a couple of games- Team deathmatch- was 2 v2 , think if more people get it, then more will be online, but 2 v2 in a massive farmhouse is boring as you cant find eachother!! then you can only use fists or handheld weapons- no guns!!!!! i hope there are other maps / weapon set ups you can use, but when i tried setting up my own game, it froze on the menu screen (either that or was loading slowly ) and so had to restart PS3 after 3 mins.

Sure as i play it more, i will grow to like it more, but at the moment it just feels like Sega didnt finish this before release

Edit: this has scared me more than Doom 3 so far, so if you like scares, then this is for you!!

The multiplayer sounds a bit disappointing, but the CSI type gameplay sounds good, think I probably will get it as I loved the demo too. How's the friends list encorporated? Is it easy to invite/accept?

You can carry more than one weapon if you complete the 'doll factory' on gold. You unlock a holster.

I bought it this morning and the sound keeps cutting out, looked on the forums both sega and PS and it looks like it's well known that the audio via digital connections is messed up and yet no patch to fix it has been released yet, WTH, didn't this get tested before release, Seems you have to turn the DD off and use just stereo anyway the actual game seems so far to be pretty good although i'm only half way through the first mission.

I managed to get this game for £20 with Uncharted (BOGOFF), and haven't played it yet as i'm going for a platinum on FO3.

although looking at the review i'm not overly confident it'll be that great, i just hope it scares the crap out of me!

I really enjoyed it on the 360 myself, as good as the prequel
