Sega Superstars Tennis PS3 Reviews

I thought I would start a review thread on Sega Superstars Tennis as it's out now and some people have it already.

Re: Sega Superstars Tennis PS3 Reviews

only played the demo, looked quite nice (in a colourful cartooney way) but didnt like the controls, played 2 player with the missus and we kept missing the serves first of all. then realised you had to hold down X / Square (or whatever the control is) was expecting a simple tap of the button, not to hold it down?

demo's 'House of the dead themed' mini game was quite fun, but sure it would get old quick.

nice to see the old sega characters, but maybe this one is for more the younger audience than the typical tennis fan.

Bet its good on the wii (if its released on wii?- criminal if it isnt!)

5/10 for me

You do know the reviews are supposed to be based on the full final retail game and not the demo. People shouldn't be giving review scores based on demos as it's not really an accurate representation of the final game.

Re: Sega Superstars Tennis PS3 Reviews

Bought this the other day over Virtual Tennis 3 (mainly because it doesnt have online and I have on the PC).

A really fun game when playing local multiplayer - A bit harder to pick up then VT in my opinion (But Top Spin is ther hardest). But I cant seem to find any online games - not a single match, I dont know what is wrong.

The special moves are a gimmik and no one really like using them.

The graphics are nice and colourful and the game holds a constant smooth framerate.

I will score it after I get to play it more and hopefully after an online experience.

Re: Sega Superstars Tennis PS3 Reviews

I had this for about 3 days after trading in VT3 in for it for the lure of online games.....big mistake.

Seemed hardly anyone was playing as it didn't connect very much, plus the characters seem to float meaning you misjudge the distance and often miss the ball.......alot.

Nice graphics, smooth framerate, pity the game is flawed and lack of players online.

Re: Sega Superstars Tennis PS3 Reviews

I doubt the game has sold that well due to it's mainly average or mediocre reviews. Plus a lot of people may have now moved on to Top Spin 3.

Re: Sega Superstars Tennis PS3 Reviews

After some more playing I have now rated this game a 6/10. But that is probably too kind. Kids will definantly prefer it over adults - and it is more aimed at them.

I still have not got a mact online - I cant believe no one is playing this online, I have not seen a single person!
