Kane And Lynch PS3 Reviews

I rented this game from Blockbuster to see how it fared before possibly buying it...4 rainy hours later - completed it.

Shooting - not very accurate sometimes you can have the corss hairs right on someone pull the trigger and do they die, sometimes not and you've apparently shot 2/3 inches wide. Even with all the options to 100% you cannot turn and aim fast enough.

Controls - you can't change them yourself, you have to use one of the presets. All of these, however, are wrong. Just wrong...and there's no jump button which would be useful in the bank when you get signs inront of you and your character seems incapable of walking on them and you're stuck!

Graphics - Not too bad, the cut scenes are good...however the graphics are nothing spectacular and perhaps a little dull as though not actually hd. I have just finished playing Assassins Creed which makes it look bad.

Story - not bad could the way it is told, Lynch gets on my nerves though want to kill him he is such a tool.

Missions - too short, and not enough, does try to mix it up a little with the sniping to be done and stuff however it's mostly run to point x and shoot xpeople on the way. The last one that really annoys me, for some reason Jenny decides to stand up and get her head run over by a dumper truck or simply stop living for no apparant reason.

Having said all this it's ok in co-op mode with a friend if you don't mind arguing over who's fault it is that you keep dying and failing. You don' moan about who is who...but if you're thinking baout getting Beowulf you should be shot, rented that at the same time and played it for a whole 3 minutes

Re: Kane and Lynch: Review

Before this gets any more votes, you might want to start a new poll thread as this doesn't follow the 'official' poll format needed to be included in the reviews thread. You need to list the scores as in the other review threads (eg - 10 (Genre defining), 9 (Outstanding) etc) and zero isn't an option either. Sorry, not my rules.

If you're not fussed and just want peoples opinions then don't worry!

Ialmost brought this turkey! I had it on pre order and for some reason Play delayed the sending out of give me time to read everyone's thoughts on it.

The fact that no one has bother to right about it in here speaks volumes, shame cause it looks so cool.
PS I don't own this game.

Re: Kane And Lynch PS3 Reviews

I just got a PS3 Slim (1st PS3 ever), have got a 360 and loved it that, so bought it off Fleabay for £4.50, as I think its a laugh.

its like the movie "Heat" on a console. The online play is good fragile alliance. I agree the shooting is mad sometimes, you shoot in head and doesnt do anything though.

All in all not brilliant but a good laugh, and a good story. hope K&L 2 is better than this one though
