Need For Speed:Pro Street PS3 Reviews

Please! As a courtesy to others; avoid posting any spoilers in your reviews.

A 10 should only be given for a landmark game that sets new rules, a 9 for a truly excellent game without flaw, and an average game that does things right but nothing special should get a 5 (not a 7 or 8 like some would have you believe).

I've enjoyed all the undergrounds and more recently carbon but i get the feeling this isn't going to live up to its predecessors. Is it?

Re: Need For Speed: Pro Street - Review

i was really looking forward to this, having played nearly all the nfs series, even the first ever game on the 3DO, some where brilliant, others not so good, but this one should be the jewel in the crown, well it is a serious let down. the first thing that hits you is the terrible menu design, it really is confusing, not very intuitive at all, when you do finally get into a race meeting straight off the line you instantly get the feeling the console is struggling, the framerate seems really low, the graphics arent even that hot.
even the driving views arent all that inspiring.
the drag racing is fun for the first 2 races, with a little warming up of the tyres game before you begin, but this soon becomes tedious, having to do this for every drag race, and the load times seem so long.
To work you way thro the various race meetings its the same sort of racing and the tracks are boring and unimaginitive.
even when you get hold of a fast car the racing seems false with not much feeling, its as if just driving a normal car in fast forward speed
not tried the multiplayer yet, but judging from what ive seen of this game already mines gonna be traded in quite sharpish.
i would give it 4 out of 10 it should have been alot better
my advise would be rent it before you buy.
