This has just become my most anticipated game of 2009, along with Uncharted 2.

As much as I adore Virtua Tennis 3, I always wished I could flex my muscles online. Now my dreams have been answered. Even if the game is basically 'Virtua Tennis 3 + Online Play' I'm still buying this!

100% agree, used to love VT3 but got rid because of lack of online play, this will be a keeper for sure.

Definitely looks good, it would be brilliant if they included some kind of SIXAXIS motion control for the game, so you could play by swinging the controller like the Wii. Would make it much more fun IMO

God I hope not. The last one had Six Axis control as an option and it was poor to say the least. The Six Axis controller's motion sensing is not as refined as that of the Wii remote which itself is not perfect either. Rather then waste time on that they should just focus on making sure the standard controls work as well as they can.

Oh right, I haven't played the previous one. Well, I suppose if they can't refine the Sixaxis motion control on that, then it's best just to stick to the standard controls like you say.
I've played Top Spin but I hated the controls on that

Number 3 was early in the PS3's life and Sega used the excuse of 'not used to net code' (or something similar)....not applicable now so expect it online. Will be a keeper too, the latest VT is IMO always the best tennis game and with online play it'll have the lastability.

Hmmmm looking into this one. I loved Super smash pro tournament tennis on the PS2. For me it's between this and InFamous. I wonder if there'll be any lag in the multiplayer mode of this...

Not seen much in terms of gameplay for the PS3 version. Seen gameplay of the mini games but ain't really interested in those. Anyone know how much gameplay has changed from VT3? I know that they have gotten rid of the diving as that was too unrealistic. Great to know that it has trophies too.

I could be wrong but I've heard that every game released on the PS3 from January 2009 HAS to have trophies. So far I think every game that has been released this year has had trophies.

I'll definitely be picking this game up when the price drops to £20-£30.

Cheapest I've seen is £32.95 with Shopto, I only bought mine from Game this time due to a voucher which I got from this forum.

I'm really looking forward to this VT3 I played for a long time!! I still remeber the dreamcast version which for me was probably the best version so far...
