Are people getting this through being registered with Sony ? I remember a load of members from here registering ages ago and on the face of it there is no specific MAG website, just Sony ones.

If anyone gets a spare code I would love one.....really want to try this one

I thought it was a small download at 250 something mb ..... its now downloading the latest update .... 2055.51 mb.

Got my Beta code, downloading now.

You can play MAG during the Conference but just one map apparently.

Mines on 10%, taken a while as its a 2Gb update.

Well mines finished downloading, but cant get on any games because they're all locked!?

2.5 hrs it took for me to download the update, should've seen the amount of hatemail from people in my ps3 inbox lmao :D

Me too. I did get an error message and thought I would have to start all over again!! Thankfully it started from where it had crashed and I was off again. Taken 4 hours so far!

Me too I've never had so many PM's!

The policy on the game times seems really odd early evening 6pm - 9pm and 1am til 4am...The only good thing is that it is on all day during Gamescon, COUGH..COUGH I feel a bit unwell

Took me nearly 7 hours to down load it along with a couple of crashes. Played a couple of games but too tired to really bother with them.

Re Beta Testers - Sony tend to advertise when they need more. I found a link to this page to this page here 18 months or so ago and they were recruiting at the time. Keep an eye on the official PS forums too.

shame we cant register our interest in each beta, and then get picked on our PSN gaming usage or something. hate the shear randomness of the way betas are done

There was a generic sign up sometime ago and I just missed the boat. Anyone accepted at the time gets email invites every so often to take part in whatever game requires Beta testing. If you google about a bit you will see alot of other forum posts saying you need to have registered your Network Adaptor with Sony before you will even be considered. Checked through my account management and there was nothing obvious I could see that was relevant. I have emailed Sony asking if the sign up is closed now, just waiting to see if I ever get a reply.
I've got onto loads on the 360 (which a few of will know I am a little bit keen on) but none on the PS3. The big Beta this year for me is Modern Warfare 2 which is a 360 exclusive Beta and should be announced today at Gamecom. The 2nd biggest was MAG and I'm keeping a close eye on this thread to see what everyone thinks.

Also there is a Beta sign up for APB (All Points Bulletin) which is a MMO from the guys that made Crackdown. Basically a massive open world of Cops and Robbers. Sign up details are in my Signature. Beta is PC only.

EDIT: nothing about the MW2 Beta in the MS press conference
