I can't believe the price criterion are putting on their DLC. The latest is £10!

If you bought the game on release, and paid for all the DLC, how much would you have spent? The car packs are well overpriced.

There's no doubt Burnout is a good game, but I'm glad I got the ultimate box and didn't pay for all the add-ons, just too much of an outlay for me.

I think that Criterion should be applauded for all of the free as well as paid for DLC that we have received for Burnout. Remember some of the initial updates including Bikes etc was free. They have shown other developers how to support a game going forward and continue to add value to a game to make it well worth playing and very fresh still 18 months after its release. The new DLC is fantastic value at £10 with loads to do and a slightly different feel to the new area, and is an extremely worthwhile add on (imho).

They have done a brilliant job of keeping that game alive. Yes, some of the content is over-priced, but you don't have to buy it.

Equally, some of the content has been a bargain (e.g. Surf Island) and best of all, they know how create a damn fine game and to make it sheer unadulterated fun.

Exactly.

I did not buy some of the car packs like the mini cars, but as you say, you are not forced to do so. However, I wish they would only add the trophies in for the DLC you buy, and not so that you get un-attained trophies from DLC you don't want, reducing your % of attained trophies.

Ahh, I didn't realise the bikes etc (that you get in the ultimate box) were free. Not quite as bad as I originally though then...

edit: One thing is that you still need to download the flippin update even If you 'choose not to pay for it'. Near 500MB!!!! For some people that's half their monthly download limit. madness.
