What freezes? Your console or game? I think you might be able to get back to the XMB if the game has just frozen by using the PS button. Also, you're getting freezes during online play? How is the single player campaign for you?

By the time I see the guy running through the door I am already dead and I hear the sound of his gun about 4 seconds after the death screen has come up. Very poor.
Ye not great when get in middle of firefight framerate drops and and come back and dead.

@ Jono_Doire I get the freezing 1 second as said think massive framerate dips quite shocking games been released in this state how it passed QA i dont know.

Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2: Play & Help Thread

Is it just me, or does anyone have dodgy voice sound when playing online?

By dodgy, I mean people's voices breaking up all of the time - it's hard to tell what people are saying half of the time

Last night when I was playing with Avo and Jay after waring left, I could hear Avo fine. But I couldn't hear Jay properlly, barely could hear a whisper but not enough to make out what he was saying, but Avo could hear him fine. Haven't really experienced breaking up though, yet.

It was like that on the 360 in Vegas 1 too, sometimes people couldn't hear others when others could hear everyone.

Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2: Play & Help Thread

I was on until about 2am that morning fella - never saw you come online at all

What times are you going to be online this week ? I usually see the missus in the evenings, but I can generally be online before 8pm.

I'll be playing Oblivion with her after 8pm, as it's 1 of the only games I have that she can play, due to my 500 page strategy guide

Ah my bad sorry Shab.

I'll be online at my usual 9.30pm to 10pm for a few hours. I can't really get online before then.
I really think online play is getting a lot more stable now, yay!

Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2: Play & Help Thread

I've tried and tried to get online but everything is full or server issues even when there is a room that says 1/12 for instance.

I just can't get online with this bloody game and I'm that close to getting shot of this game.

Just subscribed to FHM to get a free copy of this! Can't go wrong... £16.99 for 6 months (admittedly it's a 12 month min subscription, but I'm happy to do that), and a free copy of R6V2, as well as a free t-shirt!

There was a similar offer with Assassins Creed and there were some big problems unfortunately. I'll try find the thread again for you.

Read the last few pages here: Assassins Creed - Pre-orders and deliveries and here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/sho...highlight=xbox

Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2: Play & Help Thread

:-/

I did have a subscription to Empire with Great magazines, I had no issues receiving the free gift at the time, nor have I had a problem with another subscription I had (Got a free iTrip and 3 issues of a Mac magazine for £1, cancelled the DD after the 3, sorted)...

I'd hope that they've learned their lessons from last time round... The issue went on sale today, so I got my subscription request in nice and early... If I don't get anything before the new issue I'll make enquiries I guess...

Aye, cheers for that, I wouldn't have had any idea other wise

I'll make a mental note that a complaint letter may need to be drafted up... (Had to do a few recently too, so my skills are sharp :P)

Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2: Play & Help Thread

Just got this game and only had a chance to play story mode co-op online.

What are the other game modes all about and which are peoples favourites?

I quite like 'Team Leader', when I get connected!
also played a couple of 'A&D – Demolition' that was fun too.

My overall fave though, is Team Deathmatch, but with RESPAWNS DISABLED!
much more exciting that way.

Multiplayer Modes

Team Leader (NEW): Eliminate the enemy team’s leader and their team while protecting your own leader. As long as the Team Leader is still alive, all other team members can respawn to aid the team. Once the Team Leader is killed, there will not be anymore respawns for the team. However, if the Team Leader kills someone on the opposing team, they will no longer respawn whether or not their team leader is alive or dead.

Total Conquest (NEW): A revised version of Conquest mode, Total Conquest is an intense back-and-forth game where the tide can turn at anytime. Capture all three satellite transmitters and hold them for the duration of the countdown. If a satellite is interrupted the countdown resets.

Deathmatch: Free-for-all combat with no mercy. The player with the most kills wins the match. Respawns optional. Renamed from Survival & Sharpshooter.

Team Deathmatch: Two teams compete by hunting each other to see which team will rack up the most kills. Respawns optional. Renamed from Team Survival & Team Sharpshooter.

Attack & Defend (There are three game types depending on the map)

A&D Item Extraction: The Attackers must reach and pick up a briefcase, then bring it to an extraction zone. The Defenders they must prevent this from happening. The match can also be won by eliminating the opposing team. C4 cannot be attached to the briefcase. The Defenders cannot pick up the briefcase.

A&D - Hostage Rescue: Two hostages are placed in different areas of the map. To win, the Attackers must successfully locate and escort the hostages to the extraction point. The Defenders must prevent the attackers from escorting the hostages to the extraction area.

A&D – Demolition (NEW): One team must pick up the bomb and successfully detonate it inside one of the target sites. The other team must prevent this from happening by finding the bomb and defusing it. In other words, there is a role-reversal where the attackers become the defenders (arm bomb then protect it during the countdown), and defenders become the attackers (defend target sites then defuse it when armed).

Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2: Play & Help Thread

I've been playing the various modes with randoms online and its been fine to be honest. If its a room hosted by anyone outside the UK I leave and so I've only been playing in UK hosted rooms and I've experienced a bit of lag but not enough to complain about it and no disconnections.

But yeah lets hope more people start playing this again!

Sounds like a bargain! Have you got your copy yet and do they just take two payments of £16.99 during the year then? I'm very interested in doing this.
