Fifa leagues and cup's have been running for the past few years (Good Job Gunny, Baz, Abbey and Jono) on the PS3 forums and as good as they are I thought I do something a little bit different.

2 Teams of 8 players (Team Red and Team Blue) will go up against each other in 2v2 and 1v1 matches. The team leaders (me for the Blue Team and someone else for the Red Team) will pick players from thier team to go up against each other in different types of matches ie. you will only get to pick your team from England or you will have to pick a 3* team. 1 point for a win, 1/5 a point for a draw and 0 for a loss.

Simply put it's the Ryder Cup of Fifa.

The tournament will be open to everyone but I would prefer to get players from either the official league or the blu-ray's because I know how reliable they are.

The Cup will start on the week beginning 20/04 ( I'm away on holiday next week) and we should get all 3 rounds done by the end of the week.

I realise this may be quite confusing so if you have any questions feel free to ask and please don't kill me if this is a bad idea (Like the last one).

Maybe not the best (feel i've got worse over the past fornight, due to over-playing, haha), but in both AVF leagues at present, and like to think i'm reliable too!

Ooh something different.

You should list the types matches here - then the team captains/members can decide who will play in each match.

People can suggest match types (handycaps):

EG:

Match 1: 1* team vs 1* Team
Match 2: Endurance match (30min half length) (2v2)
Match 3: 3* Team (Blue) vs. 5* Team (Red)(1v1)
Match 4: 3* Team (Red) vs. 5* Team (Blue)(1v1)

etc....

captains/teams can then pick who plays in each match.

Match 1 (2v2): International team
Match 2 (2v2): Non EU club (No world or classic XI)
Match 3 (1v1): English club
Match 4 (1v1): Italian club
Match 5 (1v1): German club
Match 6 (1v1): Spanish club

Match Day 3
8 1v1 matches
6 minute halves

Match 2: 4.5* max

I think this is a top idea P-e-G-i. The biggest problem I see though is the amount of FIFA tournaments that are happening at the moment. In the old days it just used to be the Official league, at the moment we have:
* Official league
* DTS (AVF2) league
* Blu-Rays 1v1 league
* Ron4lds tourny
* European Championships (achapman14's)
* Blu-Rays BAP team
* and this comp

that is a lot.

Maybe it might be worth delaying for a little while, or speaking to Gun/Woodywizz & trying to tie it up with a mid season break with the main leagues. It would be good to have a little bit of rivalry too somehow... not sure how you could split people up. AVF1 (or AVF2) players versus Rest of the World... North versus South... old farts versus the young whipper snappers.

Well, the main league is nearing the end of the season and with this you will only have to play 3 games really so i think it would be good for the next few weeks.

A bit of rivalry would be good. I'll see how many people get on-board then we can sort something out.
