NFS:SHIFT - AVF Time Trial Competition

Open to all members of AVForums, just post your time in this thread and battle to set the fastest time within the time for each round.

How to enter:

The best way is to start a QUICK RACE with NO AI opponents, set the laps to how many you like, pick the track and the appropriate car for that round,

You will have to make a note of your BEST lap at the end of the session

If you quit before the end of the session, your time will be lost, so make a note before you quit.

No photos are necessary, you can if you like but as usual the TT's here are all trust so evidence is not needed

Just post your time as follows -

Davidg1230|Brands Hatch Indy|BMW M3 E92| 58'000
(keeping it in this format will let me upload into the leaderboard quickly and easily)

No rules really, just please use the car that's instructed for each round, this may be a stock car, or other rounds be any car within a certain points value.

No cutting track corners, wall riding. Please keep at least 2 wheels on within the track at any time (no chicane cutting). This is meant to be a fair competition, so please don't cheat and cut corners or stick a turbo on

Please use 'PRO' physics, no driving aids, except for ABS. (I'm not sure if TCS or other aids will give you any benefit)

Re: NFS:SHIFT - AVF Time Trial Competition

Looks good mate... I'll give it a go.

One more thing I don't know if anyone's interested but I've spent an hour or so today setting up my G25 to play properly with this game. If anyone wants the setting I'll post em in here.

I've altered some of the settings for my G25, still a work in progress mind you, but wouldn't mind seeing if you've gone down the same route MM.

Re: NFS:SHIFT - AVF Time Trial Competition

NFS Shift G25 Wheel Settings.
  • Steering Dead Zone - 0%
  • Accelerator Dead Zone - 0%
  • Brake Dead Zone - 0%
  • Clutch Dead Zone - 0 %
  • Steering Sensitivity - 51%
  • Acceleration Sensitivity - 9%
  • Braking Sensitivity - 9%
  • Clutch Sensitivity - 12%
  • Speed Steering Sensitivity - 0%
  • Force Feedback - 10
  • Turning Lock - 480
  • Inverse Shifting - Off

NB: The above settings are my own preference and may or may not suit your driving style. The settings work for both aggressive and smooth drivers.

NB part 2: The turning lock in the game defaults at 360, which I found strange, on adding more turn the game became awkward. I found that 480 is a happy medium between responsiveness and natural turning feel. If this still feels too much then turn down in increments from 450, 420, 390 and finally 360. Any lower than 360 imo is too quick.

NFS Shift DS3 Pad Settings.
  • Steering Dead Zone - 12%
  • Accelerator Dead Zone - 6%
  • Brake Dead Zone - 6%
  • Steering Sensitivity - 5%
  • Acceleration Sensitivity - 6%
  • Braking Sensitivity - 5%
  • Speed Steering Sensitivity - 45%
  • Inverse Shifting - Off
Revised DS3 settings in RED.

Let me know what you think.

Re: NFS:SHIFT - AVF Time Trial Competition

Guess I'll be first then

Br0ken|Brands Hatch Indy|BMW M3 E92| 54.680

This was with a controller, not sure if we should add the distinction or not?

I had to sell my E92 because I had already bought it and modded it fully lol Just to confirm that I was playing on PRO with only ABS on, every other aid was off and damage was also on.

Are you using a wheel or a DS3? I've got settings for both. I found the standard Pad Settings rubbish, so I've tinkered with them. If you want em let us know.

I think racers using a wheel setup should get a 30 second handicap.

You don't have to sell your car...

Go to upgrades, and click on each upgrade you've bought and you'll find you can sell each item for the same price that you bought them. This way you loose no money and can then purchase the same upgrades again without any extra cost.

Yeah it might be good to put at the end of your time something like e.g.

Br0ken|Brands Hatch Indy|BMW M3 E92| 54.680 | DS3

or

Br0ken|Brands Hatch Indy|BMW M3 E92| 54.680 | G25/DFGT/DFPro/
