AVF Band of Brothers (BoBs): PART IV

AVF BAND OF BROTHERS INFORMATION

***ABOUT THE CLAN***

AVF Band of Brothers is a 30 member clan/gaming group formed from former members of the AVF K-Zone Killzone clan and other AV Forum members.

Though there will still be a clan element to us i.e. Killzone 2, COD, MAG and future games that support it. We set this up mainly to game as a group.

We are a clan who are all about fun, friendly games and banter. But to keep the spirit of competition alive within us all. We also like to get serious now and then.

We are active in quite a few games. New and old.

We like all our members to feel part of a large team that plays fair and has respect for other members as well as other clans.

***CLAN WEBSITE***

Big Thanks to Cooperman for getting the ball rolling, and a big to Tall Paul for setting it up. We now have our own webspace.

Although we are all still active on here you will mainly find us over there chilling and catching up.

The Clan website will unfortunately be part locked to new members & guests.

But once you have passed the trial period then it will all be unlocked.

***CURRENTLY PLAYING***

Here is a list of the multiplayer games you will find the majority of us on at the moment.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

***JOINING FAQ'S***

I Don't Want To Be Tied Into Any Clan Stuff. Can I Just Play Some Online Games With You Guys?

Sure no problem at all. Send out a few friend requests with AVF in the message. (we will ignore it unless it has this) If there's space in any games that we're on. You can come on in.

Whats All This Trial Stuff?

As we've had previous members wish to sign up and never been seen again. We have introduced a 2 week trial period to stop any time wasters jumping on the bandwagon. You will be invited to our website where you will start you're trial. Here we will judge how active you are on the site and on the PS3.

Sounds Fair Enough. I'd Like To Join. What Do I Have To Do?

We only ask for 3 things out of anyone wishing to join AVF Band of Brothers.
1. You are an active member on AVForums
2. You are willing to be an active member of the clan both on the PS3 and on the clan website aswell as having a presence on these forums. (After all it is the reason we're all together)
3. You treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself.

I'm Up For That. But I'm Not Very Good!!

Don't worry about your skill level!! In AVF Band of Brothers there is no need to be the best gamer out there. It’s all about getting involved in whatever games you can, and enjoying yourself.

Interesting. Do I Need A Headset?

Headsets aren't essential. But having one will help. Mainly so we can have some good banter and have a laugh with each other. But also so we can communicate information between ourselves on the PS3.

No Problem, Do I Have To Buy All The Games on Your Currently Playing List?

Of course not, that would cost you a fortune. As long as you’re involved in at least 1 of the games on the CURRENTLY PLAYING list and the clan thread then that’s fine. Obviously the more games you have from the list, The more you can get involved with.

What About Other Multiplayer Games That I Have But Aren't On The Info Post?

We all have a few games in our collections so just ask on our website. If we have then we may just catch you online with it.

Why Just 32 Members?

To help keep server space low and the website free of charge its alot easier to keep members numbers lower. Hence 32 members.

I'd like to sign up but the clan seems to be full.

Sorry about that. Don't worry as we monitor peoples involvement with the clan as to keep only active members. If someone asks to leave or is deemed inactive then they will be removed to free up space to allow new members like yourself to join us.

There's space. Sign Me Up!!!!

Before you join, just to re-iterate. All new members will have to take part in a 2 week trial. This is to ensure we have no time wasters and only active members in the group.

No problem at all. Where do i sign?

Good Choice my friend. Please PM our Recruitment/Members Officer Mister T 1976

We all look forward to seeing you online and on the site very soon.

Wait!! Where's The Clan Website?

Mister T 1976 will give you all the info you need once you have PM'ed him.

NOTE

Anyone wishing to join must PM Mister T 1976

No PM. No Entry.

We only have a maximum of 30 members at any one time.

So please PM Mister T 1976

This is to ensure we can keep the thread up to date with new members on trial and so we can keep a track of who wishes to join. And it also helps us with the clan website aswell.

Once the 30 member capacity has been reached we will not be having any trials or allowing any new members to join unfortunately.

Placing this limit on helps keep things together and helps us to function better as a group. As the saying goes "To many cooks spoil the broth"

Plus it makes running the clan alot easier with a set limit of members. Aswell as keeping the website server space used to a minimum.

If you wish to join and there is no space available then keep checking back as we remove inactive members regularly.

Also note to all current members. If you are booted for being inactive. And you haven't PM'ed either myself or Mister T (either on here or on the website) saying that you will be inactive. You will be seen as a time waster and may not be allowed to re-join in the future.

THANK YOU

***CURRENT MEMBERS***

Remember anyone wishing to join must PM Mister T 1976

I wonder who will be the lucky soul or souls to play as a medic in Operation Flashpoint 2.

Moving On:

If I join the Operation Flashpoint 2 part of Band of Brothers, then I will most likely play as a sniper. But even if I don't, then enjoy the games.

Well my birthday might tempt me to get it on two formats, so I can play it with my old buddies from the now dead K-Zone clan. Since I would not be paying for the second copy, also don't forget I have bought two of the same type of game in the past.

Remember Fifa 2008, I got that on both the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Hopefully I'll have FIFA on the release day, if not then soon after. When's the first clan match on it?

To be honest I'd rather have a AV Forums Club Championsgip team as there's less lag.

Band Of Brothers aint got a FIFA team mate.

You want to be looking at THe FIFA threads in here. Or speak to jonneymendoza as i'm sure he runs all things FIFA on the forums.

The games we are into are in the first post buddy.

If Fifa had water guns and zombies as a bonus mode, then maybe chalkywhyte would allow it.

Re: AVF Band of Brothers (BoBs): PART IV

HI guys

Just want to say how much fun I had playing with the 4 of you who were online last night.

The chat was great and everything felt very laid back, IMO your the best/friendliest clan out there. If my playing time wasn't so unpredictable, then I would be filing my 'potential membership' application form right now.

Hope you manage to get through your issues with the Frag, it sounds hard work, but Im sure it will be worth it.

Cheers
Will

Your more than welcome to jump in anytime mate

Not sure about my performance using the frag though, thought It had fell into place in the public match we had on broadcast when I finished on 10 kill streak, but after that I couldn't hit a barn door again

I'll persevere for this week as I appreciate there is a learning curve but if I haven't nailed it before MW2 it's back to the old faithful DS3

Welcome anytime mate, we normally have a good bit of banter while playing, although some members can have a bit of a potty mouth at times

I think I'm sold on the Fragfx, was getting on pretty good in the last few games.

Just had the dreaded 500 error on the BoB site, think the hamster needs a prod again

No worries WB - although i would of prefered it if you hadn't shot me in the back within 20 seconds of joining the game though

Stick it out Sharpy - there was a few kills that i watched back via my killcam where i could see that the speed and accuracy increase was noticable and you killed me even though i opened fire first. I think once your used to it it should be far easiers to pull off head shots - therefore quicker kills rather than unloading into the body.

On second thoughts - i think your right - take it to CEX this weekend mate

TBH its only Gizmo and Chris Hunt. Dont seem they about anymore.

Shame tho as they were prominent from the start but not seen either for months.

They the only ones who aint come across to the hideaway.

Re: AVF Band of Brothers (BoBs): PART IV

Has anyone still got GTAIV? I am playing through it again for trophies, there are a couple that require co-op, if anyone is interested let me know.

I sort of gave up on GTA online after about a week as playing with randoms was crap, but I reckon it could be fun with headsets and people not acting like *****.
