Tiger Woods 10 Tournaments !

Thought i'd start a thread for this guys, seeing as we're going on about it in the Fifa thread ! Was hoping to get us together on a certain night and we could play a round of a different course every week and post the results on here ! After a while we could look at different game type's for the week ! All are welcome to put your name's down, especially the Fifa boys, plenty of good footballer's could be amateur golfers, so let's see if the same is true in the gaming world !

Nice one Eire ! We'll all have to get the mic's charged up and ready, sure there'll be plenty of banter going on, on the greens ! I'll be on tonight about 10ish and i'll have a look into the online game setup's etc ! Any word of your copy arriving Goo?

Had a look at the online settings last night guys and it looks like it's a max of 4players playing together at one time ! You can choose a lot of different settings for the weather, green & fairway speeds but i think we should just choose a course to play and then set the rest to random, what do you all think? Also, do we play as our own created character's or one of the pro's? If we go for a pro, i think we should take Tiger out of the equation and selected one from the remaining? Any thoughts/idea's guys?

Right now I'm sick to death of Fifa.....crap and bored everytime I play COD W@W so I've just picked up TW 2010.

Is this going to be a specific night? If I'm free when you arrange it I'd like to get involved if that's ok?

I haven't played it yet (only picked it up this lunchtime) so I will be pap but I could get on about 10pm tonight for a blast.

I can't get on earlier...working on a job thats a right ball ache which will keep me busy til after 9pm tonight.

Nightmare mate, gotta hate those kind of jobs ! I should be on from around 10pm and i'll set up a game if there's anyone around ! Will we play Sawgrass as the first round???

Myself and Woodywizz both have Tiger 2010 and will be on later for some battles .... I suggest we have a four ball and all play with golfers other than Tiger to see how that works out.

Four ball is where four players play their own individual game but all playing the holes together .... so there are four balls in play. The other option is to play a foursome where two people team up and take alternate shots with the same ball against the other two ..... lots of variation, we could even have an AVF ryder cup

should be on between 830pm and 9pm depending on getting the kids bathed and in bed .... see you soon fella. Wizz and Ultima should be on too so we can have a good ol bash round Pebble Beach or Sawgrass .....

Tremendous action tonight .... really enjoyed it so thanks to Wizz, Ultima and Adi for some top golf action.

Adi and Wizz were the men to beat once Ultima had come back down to earth following his six out of seven birdies

I managed an eight which messed me up a bit but then struck the first ever AVF hole in one!!

Thanks chaps and look forward to some more!!

Great game last night guys, sorry I had to shoot off but my wifes father was having an operation last night and just as we finished our game we had to go to the hospital.

The back nine of Sawgrass did me in.....it was way too long for my newly created player and I couldn't even reach the par 4's in two shots. Managed to sneaked in to the three wat tie for the lead at the end though. Great fun.

Looking forward to the next.

havent really played TW10 yet so my created player is still really pap.

Great craic last night guys ! Some of Ultima approach shot's last night were 2nd to none ! Goo, your putting was hilarious at times, especially when you decided to up the difficulty but the Hole in One was a peach, well done ! Woodywizz was like a COD sniper just quietly going about his business and make some great putts ! All in all a cracking nights fun, looking forward to the next one, cheers guys

All our created golfers are pretty pap (except Adicolor's) but we are all working upwards .... we could always have a game using an established named golfer.

Yeah my putting was all over the place and I couldn't judge them at all ... was a nightmare when we upped the difficulty ..... all great fun and looking forward to some more later, cheers chaps.

My golfer's driving and putting is good but my approach play and green positioning is cronic ! After watching some of the approach play from you guys last night it's definitely something i need to work on. Ultima's approach play was excellent last night !

Took Woody's advice and played a couple of tournaments ..... your score goes up pretty quickly and so will play a couple more today. My personalised golfer is looking good, I don't think it looks like me but it certainly putts like I do

Enjoyed it last night...some great games with Grrrrrowler, Abbeygoo and eireann10. All pretty close but I do nee to get my driving distances up to near you guys. Was about 50 yards back on every hole

Not sure if you know Martin, i only found out over the weekend from my kid brother, but if you tap x really quickly during your back swing you can up the power on your shot's ! I'm currently hitting my drives at around 120% power perfectly ! It's really helped me out !

I really do need to play a few tournaments and do the drills after to up my stats a bit but it's a good laugh so enjoying it.

We all need to get the headsets on though.....although me and abbey had ours on and he sounded like Norman Collier so I turned mine off

Also, if you keep tapping x while the balls in flight and use the left stick to choose which direction you want the ball to go into, you can add top, back or side spin. Handy for driving the fairways and especially useful on your approach shots !

I know that one as it keeps popping up in the tips on screen.

My approach play and putting isn't bad but sometimes I can't reach the green on a par 4 in 2 shots

More practice "fore" me I think.
