Hi i have a pioneer PDP508XD (which I know isnt a full HD plasma) ... however when i play GTA4 it plays at 576p ...

with a PDP508XD can i get it to run at 720p? or doesnt my plasma support 720p?

the resolution of my plasma is 1365 x 768 ..how does that translate in terms of 576p and 720p?

If it does (support 720p) should'nt it automatically play at 720p?

I take it that the PS3 is connected via hdmi.

If so have you checked which options you have set for PS3 output?

Settings > Display Settings > Video Output settings > HDMI > Custom

and see if 720p is ticked. if not try ticking it an retesting.
