Not sure how real this is but GTA4 may be getting Trophies.

That site is normally accurate, from what I know anyway, sounds good to me if its true. I reckon around the time Xbox Live people get their exclusive episodes we'll get the patch. Don't expect them to be retroactive though!

On second look, i think it's fake as the site is up for auction and maybe they're spreading this fake info to drum up interest

I think they must be fake, as we haven't had months of speculation, wall-to-wall press coverage and endless hype in the lead up to the announcement

Although having said that, I only got 30% of the way down the list before getting bored, so maybe it is true...

i dont see why it would be fake. its only a patch that has the 360 achievements turned into trophies. cant be that difficult to implement...same goes for all games really as most of them r jst 360 ports, and 360s must have achievements or the dont go to disk

I'd like it to be real as i enjoyed the game but didn't have an incentive like Trophies to keep me going. It's just that they have no source to the trophies and no other site is reporting it

Crap? Bit strong no? I thought the game was quite good. Sold all my games recently, gta4 is the only one I kept, good for dipping in and out of. Over hyped, sure, but so many games are these days and its up to you how carried away you get.

Well it was to me, I found it really repetitive.

The point is that some people will play or buy a crap game for trophies, similar to theose that do for achivement points.

If you enjoyed gta then trophies would be a great reason to play through it again.

Noooooooooooooooooo I'm very near the end of the game....if this is true they better be retroactive like Burno....ahem....damn....maybe one day i'll start a fresh game. GTA was overhyped and not as good as the previous games but it was and still is a really good game. I particularly enjoyed the main story but there wasn't as much to do in the world compared to SA...maintaining your friends got tiresome though...

Is completing it under 30 hours difficult? You only get one shot at that trophy unless you start another save.

I got bored too around 35% but may give it another go when I've got time. Next year probably.

They're definitely coming soon. I originally heard a December date in a genuine looking email response from Rockstar. Ready for the Christmas market to sell even more copies.

I believe that the rumour is true

Rockstar promised that there would be a lot of exclusive GTA content for home, this may just be clothing or wallpaper or videos ... who knows

The rumour mill says that with update 1.50 home will be available, and that the update is due by the end of this month

it would make sense for rockstar to patch GTA for home (if they have to) and release the trophy patch in one go

so based on nothing at all apart from rumours and speculation I would say the game will be patched sometime around the end of this month

also on the point of them being retroactive I would be very surprised if they all are.

they couldn't manage it with burnout.

i would imagine the online one's are like reach level 10. with the trophy of kill a rockstar team member, i hope they play the ps3 version a lot, as i read an interview shortly after the games release and they stated they preferred the 360 version for online play - it could end up being the hardest trophy of all to get

I honestly hope they're not retroactive, because to me that would most likely mean that it would be easy to 'cheat' to get the trophies! I for one actually like the trophies because the only way you can get them is by actually doing the game properly!

The point being that you don't have to go and do all your stuff again.

I doubted it would be done for this though without having the game saves locked to your system or their servers. Only way to do retroactively without being exploited. A pipe dream.

every thing you do get reported back to the rockstar social club....so if i can see details like bullets fired and distance ran online about, then surly the trophy system should be able to read them...

If so then its something that can be faked. Its a fun game anyway, personally don't mind starting again and going through it.

Around about christmas time would be great. i'd love to play GTA4 again and after the christmas rush will be great, especially come april when Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5 have been and gone and we're in a new drout of games
