People, jsut got my copy of GTA 4 from 365game.co.uk this morning, but on the spine of the game under the Rockstar logo it says 1 (auuming thats Region 1)..

Now just wondering what to i do, should i return and ask for a UK/ Pal copy. Cause people i would like to play this online eventually??

Any advice plz all.

All games are region free so it will work fine , blu-rays arent. Although you will be limited to playing against those with the region 1 copy of gta4 online, if I remember correctly.

But maybe when i comes time to sell it or trade it in, than i'll have problems

GTA4 servers are open worldwide, so there is no difference in owning a UK/US copy.

Does my head in as all the servers I seem to join have loud mouthed 12yr old Americans in.

i got it from 365 aswell and at first i didnt notice it was region 1 so i just put it on, but i can assure you it works perfectly fine and online is no different. the only thing im worried about is re-sell on ebay. people might be less likley to buy it region 1. if game or blockbuster notice the region 1 sticker on it they will probably refuse it

If you have a HD tv then you wont have any issues playing the game, if you have a standard res TV then you may have the PAL / NTSC issues, the online servers are worldwide so you will ahve no problemsplaying with your friends etc. just enjoy a great game.

Haven't got a hdtv yet mate, just running my PS through my LCD Pc monitor

Pc monitors have supported HD resoultions for years so as long as you can run your PS3 through it you shouldn't have any issues.

Contacted 365 people, and they said they will be hapy to give me a refund, but instead of that i have requeted that they just send me a region 2 version if they can, hopefully they will .

If not than i'll just take the refund, but than where should i buy it from instead people, ???

do not open it or you will never get your money back.

my mate had this problem, if you run it on an sd tv then it will display in black&white.

however, it will run fine on a hd tv.

summat to do with pal/ntsc.

Well contacted 365, and they can either refund my money, or they will send me a region 2 version, however i will have to pay postage charges to return the original one back to them.

will they charge you postage if you want the money back?

if they dont, get the money back and trudge down the shops- at least youll have a copy in your hand instead of waiting around for them.
