Hi All!

I’ve been playing my GTA iv for a little while now …. I’ve not got ‘that’ far through the game yet, but noticed it seems to have developed a problem … I’m wondering if anyone else has a similar issue.

Basically about ½ the sound seems to be missing!

The intro music has completely gone.
When in game, I can hear about ½ the sound effects, but not all ….. For example the car radio doesn’t work, the tyre screeches have gone ….. Other elements of the audio are still there, for example the voices are there.

I have checked the in game audio settings and everything seems normal.

I have also checked the PS3 by playing other games and dvd’s etc. all of which play the sound fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? … Can anyone point me in the right direction???

It’s got to the point where I’m not enjoying playing the game as much now

Might be worthwhile uninstalling the game data (leaving your game save obviously) and then it will prompt you to reinstall

Turns out after much ranting at the PS3 and hanging of head on the wall, that I was being a dumbass! .... The settings on my amp had been 'changed' and it wasn't sending the right sounds to the right speakers

I'm stupid .... Should have spotted that one earlier!
