Thats true... I tend to have a go if I'm feeling in a mood for some senseless destruction away from the main game.

Enjoyed Cops N Crooks for a bit, although Turf War is more my thing. Team or normal Deathmatch on something like Happiness Island is an absolute joy though, thanks to the small location.

Don't like the lobby, very hard to get a bunch of people together for a match. Also don't like the way it lets you assign your own team. Frequently get imbalanced teams and people who are a sole player against teams of 5 and 6. Clan system really needed to jump into friends games.

Ive been playing online since (almost) the start - its great fun and now that they have started to get the stats updating properly you actually get some reward for playing

I played a game where the weapons were set at just the Rocket propelled grenade - the rag doll effects when you get blown to kingdom come are just fantastic..........and hilarious.

Great fun to play but the lobbies are a bit poor.

how good was that guy the other night!?! I forgot his username but I don't think he was an AVF'er. You and him vs me and some useless jimbo. we got caned but my teamate only got about 1 kill!! You gotta admit I did well on the second match I was best overall but we still lost cos my 'team mate' got, yes, about 1 kill That guy killed everyone in the last match even though you had a teamate! He was lethal!!

Ok. So i've played a lot of online games and i'm up to level 4. Unfortunately not by being good at the online games and earning loads of cash, but by simply playing 24/7 and slowly moving up the ranks!

I have come across one or two players who just seem to be unbelievable at the game though. I played with one guy (team deathmatch - in my team thankfully) and he just went around killing everyone with ease! At the end of the game he had like 150 kills and the next best was around 40. so my question is...HOW THE @@*!£ does he do that. I mean, with auto aim on and using cover etc pushing up the right stick to try for headshots and generally making yourself as hard as poss to hit, what else can be done??

Is there some art to the headshot kill?? I just shoot and keep pushing the stick up. Should you hold it up? I looks like you are shooting above their head when you do that though??

I would have thought that the playing field is generally level when you have auto aim on, but some guys always seem to kill me first even when i have body armour on.

Another thing...I saw on a video of a GTA race that you can respawn your car at the last checkpoint. I've never been able to do this and would love to know how its done. Many Many times i've turned my supercar on it's roof and had to get out and hunt down another car (usually in an empty street) loosing precious minutes. also i once fell off the bridge after a bit of "argie-bargie" and ended up below with absolutely no idea how to find my way back up to the bridge to continue the race!

Sorry for the long post and rant but if anyone can give me a couple of answers i'm sure i could be a better online player!

the respawn thing is pressing and holding down the triangle button- this works in gta race too.

i recon that headshots bypass body armour, i shot someone online in the head and the armour went down with the health! sd.

Thanks for the reply sirdonald. I tried the triangle thing but it normally justs ejects me from my vehicle! Except, strangely enough, the helicopter. It works for those but defo did not work for me in a car. Is there a specific time you can do this or should it be anytime you like? I tried it once when i flipped my car and i just got out of it.

As for the headshots. I agree but am amazed at how good some people are at it. I reckon there must be some sort of "knack" with pushing up the right stick and firing at the right time to get a bullseye. I think crouching while shooting improves the accuracy too.

u dont push the stick all the way up, just so it is aming at the head. u want to crouch, use cover as much as possible, zoom in when aiming to get headshot. fire in bursts dont just hold the trigger down. find armour and assault rifle and try to flank enemy.

I was just wondering what the difference is between free roam and deathmatch on multiplayer...

Every free roam I've been in just turns almost immediately into a deathmatch... (which is a shame really - I never shoot first... but I do shoot last... ). I thought in free roam you could watch a show and do normal stuff like buy stuff(?) - For some reason I haven't been able to do anything apart from the normal deathmatch stuff...(?)

Any AVF members want to add me then feel free... I'm pretty much addicted to multiplayer on this game.

I like GTA Races the most... (how do you respawn to the last checkpoint in GTA races? I find that holding triangle doesn't work after I've flipped my car over).

Also - for some reason my online level went down recently from level 5 to level 1. The next day it went up to level 3 and now it's down to level 2 and has stayed like that... - I've played online loads, so this is kinda annoying... I should definitely be level 5... I'm still wearing my level 5 clothes... (???)
