Hi All,
I've had a quick look around the net (googled), but haven't found anyone having this issue recently:

A friend of mine has bought a brand new ps3 slim, has got hold of Farcry2 and GTA4, Farcray2 works flawlessly, GTA4 feezes on the first screen with writing on. He returned the disc, only to find the same error occurred.

My first thought were the issues with firmware 3.0 upon launch of slim, but he says he updated to latest firmware when first used last week.

Anyone else experienced this or know of a fix? At worst I'm thinking return the ps3...
