Hi, my son is 7 and desperate for a football game for the PS2. I'm just wondering which would be best for him? Which would be easier for him to get to grips with and which would be most likely to give him the best playing satisfaction given his age?

Both games are good in their own ways, if he is looking for something that is easy to get to grips with FIFA is the way, something more should I say fluent in tactics and passing the early versions of PES (not 2008 or 2009).

I in the adverts section have both FIFA 2001 AND 2005 for sale.

Just to be clear I'm not asking which is the best game, I really don't care, just which would be the best choice for a 7 year old to have fun with without too much frustration

i would second going for the cheaper one - but to be honest you can pick up even pro evo 5 or 6 now pretty cheaply..

if you want the full teams and names etc, then go for the fifa games.

The new FIFA 09 has a new mode on it where you only have to press a few buttons to play, makes it easier for newcomers and younger players.

I'd recommend FIFA 09 mate.
