PS2 component cable from game has some flicker in the background; why?

Connected my slimline ps2 to my lcd tv with a component cable that i bought from game, and there is some mild flicker in the background and some of the picture is a little fuzzy; why is this? Is my cable crap?

i dont now, but used to use the official one..
past experience with '"game" branded cables was they were probably the worst quality, and i would either say madcatz or another 3rd party manufacturer, like joytech even, would be better.

Theres an official ps2 component cable? Any ideas where I could get one? Assuming theyre pretty hard to get now. Is there an official ps3 one that could also be used with ps2?

official one, part no.SCPH-10490 : PlayStation 2 Accessories: - Component AV Cable

i got mine on ebay, but they can be more expensive.

and yes, it will work on both ps2, and ps3 as well.

theres a few on there just now, search for "ps3 component", couple of official ones, monster ones, and ixos ones..probably the best 3 makes.
others might work just as well, but as i've said, game cables have always given me grief..

Can you tell me the web address for monster and IXOS for buying the cables please? And any chance of you selling your official cable?

official lead @ £22.46
SONY PLAYSTATION 3 COMPONENT VIDEO ADAPTOR LEAD - available from Superfi UK Visit http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/product_id/4654 for details

IXOS leads @ £28.37

the monster cables are close to £60, and i wouldnt pay that much..
buying off of ebay at a bargain price probably, but not full whack.

If you buy the monster ones from the US, they can work out quite economical (depending upon shipping charges).
