You all know the answer to this one, I'm sure.

My mate has a PS2 (or more accurately his kids do). It won't work properly (stop me when I get too complicated).

When you start it up it just has 2 options: 'Browser' & 'System Configuaration' (or something like that).

He can't seem to get anything else up.

Anyone?

It is not recognising the disc, have they tried another disc? if this has been tried then it sounds like the laser is either gone or going
