PS2 slim dead. can it be fixed?

went to have a go of my trusty PS2 (couldnt get on the PS3!) only to find it wont work

green light comes on, fan starts & disc spins but thats it. nothing loads, game,cd or dvd. the browser screen doesnt come up, just BLACKNESS! LOL

even without a disc its still the same

anyone know how it can be fixed?
