Thrustmaster Force feedback Ferrari steering wheel

Dear all,

I have recently bought my son one of these steering wheels. He has a PS2 console, model number SCPH 39003. I have connected up the leads and nothing seems to work. Is there anything special that I need to do. I assume that it is compatable with the PS2.

Any help would be appreciated.
