Hi all, I have stated playing the Monkey Island games again because they have re released number 1 and brought out a new one. First thought I wanted to finish numbers 3 a 4, which I had started years ago and never finished. I have finished 3 and now onto 4 (Escape from Monkey Island, and I am stuck at exactly the same place as I was years ago, even following 3 walkthrough guides I can’t seem to do it!?

It’s in the swamp looking for Pegnose Pete’s hideout, I follow the directions on the clock and get to the gate where future Guybrush gives you items, a number etc so you can open the gate, I do that fine and open the gate and it says to carry on following the directions so I do but what ever I do then it takes me back to the beginning of the swamp?? The directions after opening the gate are 2.45 West then 2.00 West again, but when I do that it doesn’t seem to work and I try every other direction and it doesn’t work, am I doing something stupidly wrong?

I’m aware quite a few people won’t have a clue what I’m talking about but I’m hoping someone will.
