OK i never really got into the PS2 (although i did own one twice mainly for GTA games) so since i have a JP PS3 i though it would be a good idea to pick up some JAP PS2 games..

So i was thinking...

God of war
DMC3
Shadow of the collosus

One of my question sis will i have any problems with them being in jp text im guessing not as these games are action based...

also any other recommendations?

DMC3 has an english option (not sure about the SE though. Probably does)
Colossus doesnt but you wont have any problems playing it.
Not sure about GOW, never played it.

God of War should be ok, there is not really much you would need to know.

The upgrade menu might be a little complicated, but I am sure there would be a translation at gamefaqs or on the net.

Ok thanks ill get God of war (£10) and DMC3 first im kinda glad i have a japan ps3 after reading about the EU ps3 backwards compat issues

Where's a good place to find Japanese games in English? I'm in Singapore, and the PS3 I bought here will only play NTSC-J PS2 games.

Maybe I'm being optimistic but I'd love to find GTA, Gran Turismo, Colin Mcrae, Wipeout (whatever the latest versions are - I didn't own a PS2).

I can't find anything here so can anyone advise me where to try my luck?

So did you end up getting the Japanese version of God of War? Is it in English or in Japanese? Thanks for your help.
