Re: PSX games on PSP... WOW

You need custom firmware. FFVII was and is awesome, ive got a limited edition version for the PC.

You should try the new Crisis Core FFVII for the psp, also a great game.

I recommend GTA, GT2, Destruction Derby 2 for the PS1

ME!

Done all the Final Fantasies. Could really do with having proper analogue enabled for emulation though, stuff like Gran Turismo 2 really needs that. I'd dip into Soul Reaver & Metal Gear Solid if there was analogue on board.

I stuck an old music creation dolphin game on there called Fluid, that was a memory from the past! I bet having Music on there would be quite fun too.

Looking at having a go through the wealth of wonderful RPGs from times gone by. Breath Of Fire 4, Chrono Trigger. Also would like to check out Alundra and Einhander.

Oh yeah, it'd be nice if the nub wasn't just having the DPad mapped to it, but the proper dual shock analogue control.

Map analogue stick 1 to the nub. map L2 & R2 to left and right on the DPad and I'd be well happy. They could even do an option where you sacrifice L2 & R2 to map camera control (right stick) to the dpad.

Re: PSX games on PSP... WOW

You need to use a program called popstation to convert your PS1 games before you can play them. Google it as its easy enough to get hold off then with the newly created iso put it into the GAME folder not the ISO folder as that is used for PSP games.

Re: PSX games on PSP... WOW

You may also need the the previous poploader versions as i had to use 3.72 to run FF7.

Re: PSX games on PSP... WOW

Yes you will need a custom firmware to be able to play your own PS1 iso's and as far as i'm aware any PSP can have a custom firmware installed if you use a Pandora battery and magic memory stick.

I'm not aware of any Sony updates that would stop this.
