Re: Are UMD films still made?

Yes, but it seems to be very half-hearted. I've bought Casino Royale and Spiderman 3 recently. I do copy dvds onto Memorysticks using a Neuros MP4 Recorder and that's a good way of doing it, seeing as DVDs are so cheap. They're not quite as good as UMDs though and they take up a lot of space on your HD + the risk of losing them is always there. Before Christmas GameStation (I think) were selling a huge range of UMDs at 3-fo-a-£10 (some cheaper). I bought up a lot of them and I've now got a library of about 80 - 90. Dunno whether they're still selling them. CEX (most major UK cities) usually have a good S/H selection.

Cheers

wow that's some collection scaff, out of interest where do you watch your movies? I can only just accept watching a DVD on my laptop but on my PSP no chance.

Re: Are UMD films still made?

I have a 2 hour journey to work on the train and another one back. I've found that on the way home watching half-an-hour or so of a film is fine, that way a film can last almost a complete week! I've got loads of documentary stuff and MTV music vids on Memorysticks so I mix my viewing (attention span of a gnat). I also do longer train journeys and it's good to watch a whole film with a tinny or two. The quality of the UMDs is better than my home recordings and easier to watch. Some films are better suited to PSP than others. Casino Royale, Knight's Tale, MIB were excellent, Pirates of the Carribean less so. I've also got the AV-out leads so when I'm staying away in hotels I can watch films through the hotel telly...
...quite sad really!

Not sad in the slightest my friend, as I stated in another thread I travel to East Africa quite a lot and also go armed with PSP, Laptop and copious amounts of XVID flicks.

Not tried the hotel telly link up though
