Help! Basics of Homebrew

Ok, I am offically a dumbass. Have had a PSP fat for about a year and hardly used it, was just looking at selling ti when I found out about this homebrew custom firmware madness.

Im looking for somebody who can guide me through what I need to do and where I need to go.

Im running a PSP with Software Version 3.50 and have a offical MagicGate Supported Memory Card it seems like the best option is the "Pandora Battery"

As such am going to buy: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/c...1297917&sr=8-1

So that should solve the battery problem.
What do I need to do for the Memory Card?

Once I've done this the benefits are I can play old emulated games for free?
With the best sites being:
http://www.psphacks.com/
http://pspslimhacks.com/

Thanks for help very new at this!

Re: Help! Basics of Homebrew

I wouldn't bother buying that battery, you can turn your current batter into a Pandora one, should be plenty of tutorials on the net

Course you can: Privatley (2nd hand) through http://www.hotukdeals.com

Just so your aware Scotty's kit is a Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory stick which is eveything you need to get the Custom Firmware on your PSP.

I've only purchased one as I'm not using Scotty's kit but purchased my own Pandora's Battery off Amazon (£14.99 delivered) and a memory stick (£5) which I am going to make "Magic" incase something should go wrong with my PSP in the future and to save waiting for the kit both now and should I need it again.

Re: Help! Basics of Homebrew

I assumed that the magic files had to be on the card as well as the games i want to play as well as custom firmware?.
Or is it the case that once the custom firmware is on the psp no files are needed on the card to play homebrew games?

Sorry for these questions.

Thanks

Once the Custom Firmware is on you should have no need for the magic files again.

Of course you will need a Memory Stick Duo to save any other music/video/game content to I have a 2GB one for this purpose although if all goes well will get a 8GB one.

Just get your name on Scotts list ASAP as its all you need
I'm just impatient and wanted my own kit.
