Remote Play PS3 Shutdown..leaving USB on?

I thought I would post this question here first as I am sure most of you pSP owners have a PS3

I have just aquired a 'fat' PSP and have updated the firmware etc and enabled remote play. I work on the road alot so access to the webbrowser etc is useful.

I am able to switch the PS3 on remotely using the local connection and the internet connection. I am able to switch it off as well.

However.....I have a small USB laptop fan attached to my Ps3 to help with airflow in its restricted position. When I switch the PS3 off using the PSP it 'appears' to be all off, but the USB fan is still on

I have a controller plugged into another USB port and this isn't charging until the PS3 is switched back on again. I have tried ithe fan in the other ports and it still stays on, so it isn't a fault with one port.

Any ideas?????

Re: Remote Play PS3 Shutdown..leaving USB on?

depends on the device. My USB keyboard reports power when the PS3's in remote play standby, but the controllers don't. One of the fans in the back of the machine is also constantly running when in remote play standby - I'd love to know how much power the PS3 uses when doing this, as I imagine it'd be a fair bit
