Wet Psp

My son dropped his psp into the loo (after flushing)...
Anyway, said console duly rescued and dried out but we now have audio but no visual at all...the screen is blank!
Any ideas...?

Re: Wet Psp

warranty or insurance.. the choice is yours, if it were me and the unit is still less than a year old and you have a receipt i would take it back to where you got it and try to get a replacement first, just claim that the screen stopped working.. only a little white lie

Re: Wet Psp

Did it got bicked?

I would also take it back if it's less than one year old...
Just dry it, clean it properly and you should be fine, otherwise... insurance!

Re: Wet Psp

Thanks guys... the unit regrettably was bought 2nd hand so no comeback in that department i'm afraid.
It's been opened, dried and cleaned but to no avail...any idea as to what the issue might be...short circuit maybe?

Re: Wet Psp

It could have damaged contact or even the screen, a new screen is about £30 plus fitting. The average repair for a PSP is about £50, Insurance seems the best bet but I guess it comes down to your insurance excess.
Sony used to do out of warranty exchanges for about £60 - PlayStation Careline on 08705 99 88 77
