Corrupt File

I have tried putting a dvd onto 4gb stick but it comes up as corrupt file, but if i perform same process onto 2gb stick it works fine. I suspect the 4gb is a fake but it shows 3873mb of storage. If it is a fake would it stop me putting dvds onto it?

I’m afraid the simple answer is yes,
