Re: PSP and Sky broadband

If it works the same as the ps3, then it should be fairly straight forward:

1. Setup new connection
2. Auto-scan, and select your sky router
3. Input password
4. Enjoy

If this isnt working, then possibly you need to contact sky and ask them? Or possibly try with a different device which isnt a psp?

Re: PSP and Sky broadband

I've had this problem I think with my PS3 and PSP, what I did was go into the router setting on my PC and then tell it to always assign a specific IP address to my PS3 and a different one to the PSP, then I set up tas normal and everythinbg works ok.

Couldn;t get it to work with dynamic IP address.

Good luck
Phil

Re: PSP and Sky broadband

My PS3 and PSP connected fine to my sky netgear router. Just do a scan then enter the password, normally all uppercase.

Re: PSP and Sky broadband

I too am having trouble talking to my router. It's not sky broadband but it is a netgear DG834G (which I believe is similar).

Will try using static Ip addresses tonight and may also try changing from WPA to WEP encryption to see if it's something to do with the protocol.

Re: PSP and Sky broadband

I use my PSP and PS3 wirelessly on our sky broadband with no problems. I have fixed IP's on both and am using WPA. Is it giving you a particular error message? Are other wireless devices working ok?

I Have had the same Problem?
What you have to do is set the wep index key to 1 on the sky router and then it will work.
Hope this works it did for me then all you have to change are the keys on other wep connections to 1 then everything should work! without turning off the security.
