CFW to put on a 3.90 (offical) PSP. Need help please?

Can I put CFW on a PSP that is at 3.90 (offical) at the moment?

I have been looking over this for days now and can't get anything to work (etc, i have formatted my memory stick/PSP, installed files to make magic memory stick/downgrade psp. also i get is get blank screen when pandora battery is inserted and nothing else ).

PSP still working in normal mode, just can't get CFW to run on it.

I have a Pandora Battery ready (will its a Tool Battery I bought of amazon to do this). Do I also need a genuine Pro Duo memory stick (Non fake)?

Any walk through guide will be very helpful, thanks.

Hi

Does the Pandora battery still work as a regular battery?

If so then it hasn't been converted successfully to a Pandora battery

You need a older official Sony battery to enable it to be converted to a Pandora battery - I think a few 3rd party batteries will also work (don't know what ones though)

I downgraded from official 3.90 today and had no problems, I used a genuine memory stick pro and it worked. There is a walkthrough on this site somewhere but I used this one and you only need to start from requirement 3 if you have the pandora battery. http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/about123302.html

It is a spair battery i bought to put CFW on my PSP. It's off amazon called a TOOL battery, that puts the PSP into service mode like a Pandora does. So have this and my original battery.

Yes one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Max-Power-To...2912341&sr=8-1 , I got one from amazon to.

Forgot to add that way of doing it will only work if done on a windows xp computer, I think the other way can only be done on an xp computer to.

Sounds like it could be a problem with the Magic memory stick creation, its best to use a genuine stick I’ll PM you the instructions

I tried first with a 64mb san disk memory stick that I got with my sony phone and it didnt work either, it came up that fat12 was not supported by the memory stick.

Its best to format the stick on the PSP first that ensures it set the correct FAT table on the stick before converting it to a magic memory stick.
The AVF Pandora kit doing the rounds at the moment is a 64mb so that shouldn't be a problem.
