Pandora Problem!

me again !
I have upgraded my (fat) PSP to 3.9 with no problems, and thanks to a previous post I have also put custom firmware on a new slim.
however, when I try to turn my pandora battery back to standard I get a "game could not be started 8002014C" msg when trying to run pandora creator. I have turned the kernal back to 1.5, etc but I cannot get it to work. any idea's ?

You have to have the 1.5 add on for 3.90 (only for a Fat) and have the Pandora software in the GAME150 folder on your memory stick.

Reset your kernel in recovery back to 3.90 and you can get the 3.90m33 1.5 add on from the Dark Alex website its now at version 2 to support 8GB + memory sticks

All you should need to do is put the two folder pandora_battery% and pandora_battery in the either game or game150 depending on the kernel you have set in recovery

Re: Pandora Problem!

Hi, no, would not work...

downloaded hellcats pandora, followed from this link
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313

when I turn the PSP on now (with or without stick/battery) I go straight into the pandora battery recovery menu.

x to downgrade
0 to backup nand
[] to restore nand

pressed [], gave me 2 options, both ended saying cannot find file.
to scared to press anything else!

Re: Pandora Problem!

I'm totally confused about where you are now....

Quote:

Without a stick or battery you should get nothing or just boot to XMB if attached to the mains. WITH a battery and no stick you'll just get a green power light and no display....no DCv3 menu either way. And both your phat and slim are on cfw?..wasn't sure about the phat psp form your post.

What bit of those tutorials are you following and are you having trouble restoring a battery or installing the 1.50 kernel add-on?

Re: Pandora Problem!

First upgrade to 3.71 M33-4, then since it's a fat psp Install the 1.50 kernel add-on (version 2). Now which version of Hellcat's pandora installer are you using? If you're not using revision 3 get it here and read the readme.

Excerpt from readme:
Quote:
To use the installer, first you need the 1.50 updater EBOOT named
as "UPDATE.PBP" in the root folder of your memorystick.
As a regular Pandora user you'll have that already, if not copy it!

Now copy the "pan3xx" folder from this archive to
/PSP/GAME/ on your memorystick - and run it!
1.50 eboot is available here if you haven't already got it.

Then you just hit square to restore the battery to normal, or R plus the circle button to restore it using the serial number taken from your eeprom (if you backed it up prior to pandora-ing it)
