Game recommendations?

I'd been considering buying a PSP Go for a while cos I love gadgets, but the price was a bit high. Play.com have the white Go on sale for £149.99 so I just ordered one.

What games would you consider to be must haves? If you were in my situation and getting a PSP for the first time, which 2 or 3 games would you buy first? I'm not a fan of FPS on a handheld and I'm not the biggest fan of strategy games, but I like pretty much everything else.

Welcome to the club.

I'd recommend Everybody's Golf 2, Locoroco 1 or 2 and Wipeout Pulse.
That's the top 3 on the PSP in my opinion, and not too pricey.

If you fancy something different from those then God of War Chains of Olympus, Capcom Puzzle World (for Puzzle Fighter) and the Megadrive / Capcom Collection Remixed (not Reloaded) are very good ones as well.

A good golf game is Let's Golf! by Gameloft - it's a PSP mini and it's on sale this week! £2.30 or somehting - Bargain

Games I play often : Patapon II, Loco Roco II, Motorstorm, LittleBig Planet, Driver (PS1) Blast Off (mini)

Bit spoilt for choice Just remember to buy PSN vouchers online to really bring the price down.

the warriors is very good and is only 9.99. it has some issues when you target enemies and is a bit dark. try the demo of socom 3. and any of the star wars battlefront or the force unleashed games.

Of the minis, Blast Off is excelent, and only £2,50. Tetris is also very good at £4 if you're a Tetris fan.

Of the 'proper' games, Metal Gear Solid Portable is a steal at less than £9, and Dead Head Fred is entertaining enough for £2.39! Monster Hunter Freedom will give you hours of play for a £16.99, but try the demo first as it's not for everyone. If you like turn-based strategy games, Disgaea is absolutely fantastic too.

You must be a mind reader, haha. Those are the only 2 minis I've bought.

Thanks for the other rec's. I'll check them out.

Agreed, Blast off is an excellent time waster

Hoping Chinatown wars will drop in price as what I played of the DS version was excellent but I kept wish for more robust controls - like that of the PSP!

Got Manhunt 2 for free from the PSN awhile ago - Stay away! not worth even a couple quid, deleted it
